FOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTORKatherine Cauley

Katherine Cauley is i3’s Founder and Managing Director. Prior to starting i3 in 1998, as well as in her tenure at its helm, Katherine has been involved with projects in roles as a project coordinator/manager, business analyst, technical writer, instructional designer, trainer, and coach. This experience has given her a broad and deep “in-the-trenches” understanding of both our clients’ and consultants’ needs.

Katherine is a very hands-on leader who keenly understands and embraces the importance of being a good listener and fully present in all her interactions.  “Running i3 successfully means creating a connection with everyone we work with, having a genuine interest and commitment to the success of every engagement, and bringing honesty, integrity, and a commitment to excellence to all that we do.”

Given the choice of “biggering and biggering” during our many years in business, Katherine has chosen to keep our company focus strategic and nimble so that we can provide personal attention and an exceptional level of attention and service to all our clients – whether they are a small local firm or a large global corporation.  

In her spare time, and during breaks throughout the day, Katherine enjoys yoga stretches, meditating, hiking, enjoying nature, and strength training.  She also enjoys a variety of creative outlets (such as photography and woodworking), traveling and discovering new places, learning new things, and volunteering.

DIRECTOR OF CLIENT SERVICES AND RECRUITINGEileen Smouha

Eileen Smouha is i3’s Director of Client Services and Recruiting. Throughout her 25+ years working in a sales and marketing capacity, Eileen has honed her skills in many industries and areas of expertise.

Eileen brings warmth, authenticity and enthusiasm to every interaction. A strong team player and demonstrated leader and problem-solver, her strengths include her personable demeanor and her attention to detail and quality. 

As the initial point of contact for most clients and consultants, Eileen excels at establishing the building blocks of i3’s relationships.  An adept communicator who is highly motivated and follows-through with exceptional focus and coordination, Eileen “gets things done.” Whether it’s answering a question, gathering information, setting up a meeting, or sourcing the best talent, Eileen demonstrates impeccable promptness and responsiveness.

Eileen also manages i3’s online web presence and viewer communications and, as a blog writer, she adeptly reports on current industry trends and challenges.

When Eileen is not supporting i3’s clients and consultants, she can be found hiking with her golden retriever, Bo, on her yoga mat energizing her mind and body, or in her kitchen whipping up a healthy concoction.
